The Red, White and BlueFour-part documentary series

The Red, White and Blue explores the rise and fall of the American Basketball Association (ABA), a league that defined one of America’s most turbulent eras and shaped the NBA as we know it today. This four-part documentary series chronicles the lasting impact of the ABA on the game of basketball, including the introduction of the 3-point shot; the addition of former ABA franchises like the New York Nets, Denver Nuggets, Indiana Pacers, and San Antonio Spurs to the NBA; and the rise to fame of superstar players and cultural icons like Julius Erving, Moses Malone, Spencer Haywood, George Gervin, Rick Barry, and George Karl.

PRODUCERS

The Red, White and Blue is executive produced by Todd Lieberman, George Karl, Brett Goldberg, and Kenan Kamwana Holley in partnership with Scott Tarter, Founder of Lana Sports and CEO of the Dropping Dimes Foundation, which has helped provide for the financial and health needs of retired ABA players over the past decade. Holley will also serve as director. The Red, White and Blue is a co-production from Amazon Studios, Truth+ Media, Hidden Pictures, and Holley Films.
