TODD LIEBERMAN

Todd Lieberman is an Oscar- and Emmy-winning producer and the founder of Hidden Pictures, and is one of the leading producers in the entertainment industry today. In total, he has had eight movies open at #1 at the box office, with 4.5 billion in worldwide gross. His films have been nominated for 11 Academy Awards, winning three, and he won an Emmy with his very first nomination.

Lieberman’s first releases under the Hidden Pictures banner have demonstrated immense success across genres and formats. The Housemaid, based on Freida McFadden’s New York Times bestselling novel and directed by Paul Feig, was released globally to widespread acclaim, quickly becoming a worldwide box office and cultural sensation. Led by Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried, the film garnered nearly $400 million in its global theatrical run and later opened at #1 on PVOD and digital platforms. Its sequel, The Housemaid’s Secret was promptly greenlit by Lionsgate. Lieberman’s most recent release, the genre-bending War Machine, starring Alan Ritchson and produced for Lionsgate and Netflix, rocketed to #1 on the streaming service’s charts upon its March 2026 launch. On the television side, Robin Hood debuted on MGM+ in November 2025 at #1 globally. Produced with Lionsgate and writers John Glenn and Jonathan English, this new take on the classic tale is set to premiere its second season in 2027. On the documentary front, Soul Power, a four-part series exploring the legacy of the American Basketball Association with executive producers Julius Erving and Common, premiered in February 2026 on Amazon, rounding off Lieberman’s streak of #1’s with the top spot on the platform’s documentary series list.

Currently, Lieberman is in post-production on Amazon’s live-action Voltron, directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber and targeting a 2027 release, as well as a documentary film in collaboration with Vice Studios that follows the life and career of legendary rock band Def Leppard. Now in production is an Untitled Project that reteams Lieberman with Alan Ritchson, who is set to star as Vietnam War hero Mike Thornton in the true story of his Medal of Honor-winning efforts.

Lieberman produced Disney’s long-awaited live-action retelling of Beauty and the Beast, starring Emma Watson as Belle and Dan Stevens as the Beast. The critically hailed film, directed by Bill Condon, broke box-office records worldwide and became the highest-grossing PG-rated film in North American history. It also stars Emma Thompson, Kevin Kline, Josh Gad, Luke Evans, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Ian McKellen, Ewan McGregor, and Audra McDonald. In 2018, Beauty and the Beast was nominated for two Academy Awards®: Costume Design and Production Design.

Building on that momentum, Lieberman continued to grow a slate that blends emotional storytelling, large-scale entertainment and streaming success. White Bird: A Wonder Story for Lionsgate, starring Helen Mirren and Gillian Anderson, delivered a moving story of love and moral courage set in WWII-era France. He also produced Shotgun Wedding for Amazon Prime, starring Jennifer Lopez and Josh Duhamel, which became the number one streaming release worldwide in 2023. Before that, Chip ’n Dale: Rescue Rangers premiered on Disney+ in May 2022, starring Andy Samberg and John Mulaney, and went on to win the Emmy for Outstanding Television Movie.

Prior to the creation of his new company, Hidden Pictures, Lieberman produced under the Mandeville Films banner, which he continues to co-own. Some of his extensive credits include:
